Customs Procedures and Documentation Training

This virtual half day course looks at the procedures required when dealing with customs authorities and the information needed for submitting customs declarations to enable goods to be imported or exported.

It is vitally important that businesses understand all the procedures and information required - fines and inspections are things that no company wants to endure!

Understanding these procedures from both a commercial and operational level, will improve a company’s import and/or export efficiency, and help them understand the importance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and good compliance.

In partnership with Essex County Council, we are offering all Essex Chambers Members Match Funding for two places on our Trade Expert courses. This will include our selected British Chambers of Commerce Accredited Training and extends to the individual courses that form part of our Academy Training, saving you 50% on course costs. British Chambers of Commerce Accredited Course: The British Chambers of Commerce has a range of nationally accredited international trade courses that give essential skills which are invaluable to small and large businesses alike.

At the end of these courses there will be a short assessment paper to complete which results in a BCC Certificate with a Pass or Merit achievement worth 1 credit. Achieve 6 credits to receive the BCC Foundation Award in International Trade.

Changes to your Membership status
  • Any pre-booked events, exhibitions, training or workshops that occur AFTER your membership has expired will be converted to a standard booking and the additional costs must be paid.

  • The content of the training materials is the copyright of the trainer. Any redistribution or reproduction of part or all of the contents is strictly prohibited.
BCC Assessment
  • An admin fee of £15 + VAT will be charged to those who select Yes but do not sit assessment.

Payment
  • All event bookings need to be made and paid online only unless we have agreed alternative arrangements with you in advance of the event. If you have any queries, please contact our Accounts Manager Rachael Hogg on 01206 363721.
  • Each ticket is for ONE attendee only, please book per person attending. Additional logins from one ticket will be terminated.
  • The Chambers have the right to refuse entry to events to any delegate who has not made payment in full.
Cancellation
  • 75% refund for cancellation(s) up to 14 full days before the course takes place. 50% refund will be given for cancellations within 7-14 full days. No refund(s) will be given for cancellations made after 7 full days.
  • Cancellation(s) must be submitted in writing to the International Trade Team at int-trade@essexchambers.co.uk.
  • There is no charge if a substitute person wishes to replace an existing delegate. Please inform us as soon as possible.
  • Refunds are not issued for attendee connectivity issues - If a speaker or host’s connectivity fails the event will be rescheduled
  • We reserve the right to cancel any event at any time without liability. In the unlikely event of this happening delegates would be offered an alternative date, event or a full refund.
